Now a question for all of my readers out there. What books would you suggest for Sam to learn more about space?
Here's one of the pictures that I took last night. You can even see the moon in the distance up in the sky.

For each comment I'll give my son a great big hug! He LOVES getting hugs!
Also...I don't mind links back to your blog but please DO NOT advertise all of your giveaways or products in my comment section. Recently this has become a problem and I have deleted these comments and will continue to do so.
At the end of the year book fair, David got a book called "Team Moon How 400,000 People Landed Apollo 11 on the Moon".
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the Apollo 11 mission and what it took to pull it off - and all the challenges faced.
It's a good book - it makes you realize just how much goes into getting people in space and back home again safely.
It might be a little more age appropriate for someone younger, but it's a good book. We got it at the Kennedy Space Center in Fl. (Definitely worth the trip!) Anyway, I still learned a lot from the book, too. It's called "I Wonder Why the Stars Twinkle" by Carole Stott. Check out my science blog, http://kidsinlabcoats.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI will update it again this weekend.
That is SO cool!! My kids love looking at the moon and stars too, though we don't have a telescope!
ReplyDeleteSorry I have no book recommendations b/c my kids are still younger but I'll sure be checking out the other recommendations you get!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
