Well as promised I'm finally getting around to posting about the air show that we went to last Sunday. This has been a dream for me to be able to go to one and it finally came true for me! Not to mention for my son also! All three of us had a wonderful time while we were there. We rode a shuttle from the local mall to the base as it was less hassle than taking our car. We were the second shuttle to arrive and we were able to get primo seats right in front of the barrier and also right in front of the Thunderbirds! We stayed all day and saw pretty much everything there. Instead of listing all of the static displays go here to see the list and also links to each individual plane. To see a list of all the performances that we watched go here. I would also highly recommend you going to the Thunderbirds site and watch some of the video they have there as it will give you more of an idea of what we watched.
Now here are just a handful of the pictures that I took. I was amazed at how well some of these came out as our digital camera is now 6 years old. Not to mention how fast these planes were flying! As usual you may click on the pictures to get the bigger view.

Amazing photos! I've never been to an air show before. I'm sure it's very exciting to watch one. Thanks for sharing.
We've never been to our local air show, it gets sooo busy. So we figured we'd
ooops, clicked too soon, so we'd figured we'd leave it alone and just catch the odd plane or two in the sky (we live close enough that some of them fly over us when preparing for their show, or travel to and from)
They flew over our house to practice too and we saw a lot of them but it was nothing compared to actually going to the air show.
It was really busy but it was so big you really couldn't tell. There were approx. 100,000 per day.
Very cool! Numbers 5 and 7 are from our church.
Cool photos! I grew up an Air Force brat and it was almost a yearly thing for our family ~ going to the Air Shows. Fun times!
We are lucky to live nearby an air force base, so I've been to air shows all of my life. We've seen the Blue Angels many times. I'm always SO amazed!! Glad you got to go and you took some awesome photos.
Wheeeeeeeeeeee--hubby & I love airshows too! I have been to a couple and hubby has gone to more. Always gives me goosebumps and leaves me teary eyed!
Very cool! We used to go for my hubby's work. He once got to fly with Art Scholl, a stunt pilot.
