Wordless and Wordful Wednesday ~ Back End

Sam and I found our kitten Spanky under my desk the other morning asleep.  Only his hind legs and tail were showing.  Made me smile.

PhotoHunter - Black

This weeks theme over at PhotoHunt was "black". It was harder than I thought to find something that I could photograph that is black but for some reason nothing came to mind. I decided to go through my archives of photos to see if I could find some photos that at least have black in them and here is what I found.  While you are here don't forget to check out my Current Giveaways!

This first photo is one of Sam that has been on my blog before. I took it with the setting sun behind him and it blacked him out to look like a silhouette.


Here is one of our cat Murphy. I took this picture early one morning when we were still living in Nashville. He was sitting on the arm of our couch with the sun pouring in on him. What you have to realize is that the wall behind him is a pale yellow but when the picture was developed (yes, developed...it was before digital cameras) the wall came out black and I was left with this amazing photo.



And finally a pair of handmade socks that I make for my company: Naked Footwear, which I need to desperately update and move over to Etsy. Hopefully I'll get that done this week.

Wordless Wednesday - Fire Bellied Toads

Okay...so maybe I'm not going to be wordless today. We have some new family members. Sam has been asking to have as a pet either a frog or turtle for quite some time now. Welcome to the family our new Fire Bellied Toads.

Introducing....

I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family! This is Max. He is a Jack Russell Terrier/Welsh Corgi mix. We don't know his age for sure but the animal shelter had him listed as young. We'll have a better idea in roughly two weeks when he goes in to get fixed. I took these videos this last Sunday afternoon when we were out at Cedar Hill State Park. He had a lot of fun attacking the water.
