While we were in Springfield, MO, my dad took Sam and I to the Dickerson Park Zoo. We had a wonderful day and it was great that we got to take our time going through the zoo. Unlike if we had stayed home and gone to the Fort Worth Zoo. On Wednesday during Spring Break here it was half-price day. Two things that happen together that I will avoid if possible...half-price day and kids off from school during Spring Break. The Fort Worth Zoo reported that during that week of Spring Break they had a record setting week of 118,000 visitors. On Wednesday alone they had 25,139! So, yes, I am very happy that I got to spend the day at a great zoo that had a nice quiet day.

You are absolutely right. Ft. Worth Zoo + spring break = not a good time. And on Wednesday, it's worse! And, yes, I speak from experience. :)
