My sweet, sweet son will be having surgery this week. I know that everything will be just fine but there is something about your child going in to surgery. He's had surgery before but that was when he was an infant and he didn't know what was going on. NOW? Now he knows what's going to be going on and I really think that makes it harder for a parent. You want to be honest with your child and let them know that, yes, it is going to hurt when you're out but everything will be okay. We'll be there for them and will hold their hand through it all. His surgery is on Tuesday and we'll find out the time of his surgery tomorrow after noon when we call in. I'll keep everyone updated as we know more.
So to my family, extended family, friends and followers please say a little prayer.

My thoughts are with you and Sam! I remember when they wheeled my son into the ER when he had appendicitis. It's a scary moment.

I just now read your "About Me" and wanted to tell you I, too, am a Misplaced Western...I was born in KC, MO and moved around much of my life as well(Arizona, Texas, and now Florida). So, I can really relate to you!
