One year for our anniversary, my husband left me a small gift bag on the kitchen table. When I read the card, it said - OPEN ME IN THE DRIVEWAY. Luckily, I'm a good direction-follower, so I took the bag outside and opened it in the driveway. Inside, there was a new garage door opener. When I pushed the button, our garage door opened (which was part of the present because we had a manual garage door) and inside the garage was my husband - holding a dozen roses! I'll never forget that!

My favorite present was from my husband on my 40th birthday. He gave me a statue of Nipper, the RCA dog, that I'd seen for years in the window of a vintage store in our town. We were moving to TX later that year and he knew I'd miss seeing my Nipper.

Our first Christmas dating my husband made me an artsy display of my name and framed it. So sweet
