This week over at I Should Be Folding Laundry the You Capture theme is Technology. I knew the perfect picture. You see our church has a theme that is going through this whole year and it is "God is big enough". One way I spread this them and remind my friends when they are going through a rough time is by texting it to them. So here is a picture of my phone with those wonderful words on it.

You Capture ~ Silence
I didn't have to look far to capture this weeks "assignment". This week there were actually two themes to chose from. Either Halloween or Silence. I chose Silence. My first thought was church but then I thought of music. I know, I know...silence in music? Yes! For me there is a peace and a silence to music. Here is my capture...
See what I mean? If you'd like to see more captures just click on the button above. So...what do you think of when you think of silence?

You Capture ~ Animals
This weeks theme/assignment for You Capture is animals. Since we went to the Ft Worth Zoo for a field trip last week I thought I take some photos there. They do have a lot of animals to choose from right? I know, I know...stop trying to be funny. The first animals you come across there are the flamingos. What we all found very interesting was that the ducks that were there were acting just like the flamingos. Don't believe me? Take a look:
See what I mean? All of the ducks in this area were doing the same thing the flamingos were. To see more photos click on the link above.

You Capture ~ Signs
Awhile back I participated in "You Capture" which is hosted by a wonderful lady named Beth over at I Should Be Folding Laundry. I loved waiting for her themes and going out with my camera to capture the pictures to share with you here. She doesn't want you to use pictures that you have already taken. Instead she wants us to get our cameras and head on out and find something to capture! I love that and it was what started me going with my photography. I still take lots of pictures but I just don't seem to take these challenges anymore. I'm now going to jump back in there and do just that. Capture!
This weeks theme is "Signs". There are so many different ways we could go with this theme and I'm looking forward to seeing what others out there are going to do with it as well. It's been pouring rain here all day so I didn't get to go out as I would have liked so I went with the sign that I hold in my hands every day, twice a day for work. You see I'm a Crossing Guard and hold a stop sign every day. If you'd like to see what others have come up with please click on the button above.

You Capture - Feel
This weeks assignment for "You Capture" was FEEL. I had a hard time all week trying to think of a picture that I could take that would describe FEEL. Then today and this past Thursday I captured Sam enjoying the sun and water. Can you feel the sun and water? I know that we sure did! As usual you can click on a picture to make it bigger.
If you'd like to see more FEEL pictures just click on the icon above.

PhotoHunt-Plastic & You Capture-Sweet
This weeks theme for PhotoHunt was plastic. I immediately thought of a picture that I took last summer at Hawaiian Falls. Here is a picture of some of the water slides. If you'd like to see more photos on this theme click on the PhotoHunt button above. The theme for You Capture this week was Sweet. I actually had a hard time with this one until I walked out my front door yesterday morning. Our flowers were in bloom and I thought to myself that these would make great photos for this weeks assignment! I couldn't settle on just one photo so I chose some of my favorites out of the almost 60 pictures I took. If you would like to see more You Capture photos just click the You Capture button above.

You Capture - Letters
Sam loves to go to the library. This time he couldn't wait until we got home to start reading. He sat right down at the table this week in the library and started reading. When it was time to go he carried his books out to the car and started reading again. Love that boy!
Most of these books here belonged to my Grandfather. He was a Methodist pastor and I cherish these books.
I'm sure everyone has one of these. Maybe not a library card but a card none the less hanging on your key chain that has words/letters on it.
This is my current reading stack. Again...lots of words/letters.......Then I thought, nah, that's to obvious.
How about the signs we see all over the place.
Nope, to obvious again.
Maybe a cross stitch that I have sitting next to some books on a bookshelf that has words/letters on it?Still, to obvious.
How about on the items that we wear?
Here you can see the letters ck on the side of my friends sunglasses. Thanks Rachel!
Nope...these are all still there out in the open for everyone to see.
How about the fact that we can recycle our letters?
Not to mention that there are letters all over the outside of it.
Nope. I wanted to think more outside the box this week.
Here is a picture of some hand bells that I play quite often. In fact several times I week I'm practicing with them. Yes, they have letters on them. But it's not these that I really wanted to share with you this week.
It's this....music notes. Did you know that each music note is actually a letter. So every time you listen to music, any kind of music, you're listening to letters also. How cool is that!
