What is your favorite summertime drink??
I actually have several. Besides Ice Cold Sun Tea, Ice Cold Diet Coke, and Ice Water I really like to make the following drinks:
Cool Melon Water:
2 cups ripe watermelon (you can also use cantaloupe) peeled, seeded and cubed
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup cold water
Juice of one lemon
Blend all ingredients together. Transfer to tall ice-filled glasses. Serves 6
Lime Mint Slush:
1 banana, coarsely chopped
6 mint leaves
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 cup milk
1/4 cup ice cubes
Place all ingredients in blender and process until slushy. Serve immediately. Serves 2.
Pineapple Zinger:
2 cups pineapple, coarsely chopped1 cup orange juice
1 banana, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups ice cubes
Place all ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately. Serves 3.
Citrus Cocktail:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup grapefruit juice
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup club soda
1/2 cup ice cubes
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil and swirl to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool. In a pitcher, combine all ingredients, mixing well. Serves 3.
I haven't made these in quite some time but I may just do so some time soon. They are all so good on a hot summer day.
So what are your favorite summer drinks? Please so share!

Yum! I want to try all of those!
My summertime drink generally consists of plain ice-water, ice-water with lemon, or Splenda sweetened ice-tea. Clearly, I'm in a rut! ;-Þ
I drink water mostly and trying to break the diet Coke habit. My favorite summer drink though is good sangria, hands down.
My fave summer drink would be lemon iced tea and mango-orange juice! :)
oh wow - those sound really good! I, too, mostly drink ice water or iced coffee. But I'm definitely going to try that watermelon thing!
They do sound good. I'm a coke girl. It's bad and sad, but true :)...
I wish I liked water. I do like lemonade and sweet tea... and propel.
Water. Nice, cold water. And chocolate malteds. Actually, those are both my fav drinks all year 'round.
Cold cold cold Diet Pepsi. For some kick, I'm enjoying the new Bud Light with Lime.
I am a totally Pepsi addict! But I also like to drink fresh lemonade and sweet iced tea.
I'm not nearly as creative as you are. I drink Coke (the real thing), water, and unsweetened iced tea, same things I drink all year. My taste in beverages is pretty dull.
My favorite summertime drink is Iced Tea with Sweet n' Low and lemon.
I also like Coca Cola but try not to drink it because I crave it. Too many calories!
The Citrus Cocktail recipe sounds good to me.
Wow, those all sound so yummy, esp. the watermelon one. I just bought a huge watermelon at Costco today. I'm not sure if I have a favorite summer time drink, but I love Crystal Light's Fruit Punch flavor. If you stick in it a plastic cup and wait for it to get slushie, that is a perfect drink on a hot summer day.
Iced mochas! I shared the recipe on RecipeZaar a while back:

I also drink plain, unsweetened brewed iced tea in the summertime. (None of that instant stuff!) I'm the only one in my house who likes it, though, so I don't brew it often.
Mine's diet coke
I don't seem to want to drink anything else except coffee. I drink lots of H2O too...
I am exactly like eleisia---Tea with lemon and Sweet-n-Low is what I have on hand all the time---and Coca Cola. I keep the tea de-caf, since the caffeine isn't good for you when you're trying to hydrate yourself (and we have to do that all summer with temps in the 90s every day). Also, we got a sun tea jar, and my daughter has decided she likes tea this year. It's eco-friendly, and still de-caf for her as well.
For a treat I get out some Countrytime Raspberry Lemonade. I never *make* drinks, but your post is inspiring! I'd love that Citrus Cocktail.
My hubby makes a MEAN Pineapple/Sunny Delight/Icee kind of drink...has to be my favorite...other than the staple - Sweet Tea!
Summertime Tea
Put one can of frozen lemonade concentrate and one can of frozen limeade concentrate in a gallon pitcher. Brew 6 teabags in 4 cups hot water. Add brewed tea and enough water to fill the pitcher. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of sugar.
It's delicious! You do have to stir it each time you serve it - it settles out and gets thick at the bottom.
