Poor Dog!

Okay...for those of you that know me know that I do not dress up my animals and I really don't like seeing it on other pets. Now if you live in a very cold climate and your animals do not have coats to help protect against the cold then I guess I can see why you would need to put something on them. But I personally think that this is going a bit to far! This poor dog. You can just see it in his face..."Help me!" This is actually a pattern on Lion Brand.

I'm guessing that's a Halloween costume?

It's getting close to the single sanctioned dog-dressing event in the St. Louis area: the Parade of the Krewe of Barkus during Mardi Gras.

I must say though that the only dogs I see around here with a coat on during the winter are the rescued greyhounds, who IMHO probably need it between their very short coats and lack of body fat, and that most dog tracks are down South. There's a black one I see walked all the time with a very snazzy zebra-striped coat. Tres chic.

Down here we have the Krewe of Barkus and Meowe parade. And as far as I can tell this wasn't a Halloween costume. It was in their winter newsletter. There were two other patterns there but I think that was the worst offender.
