Sam and Gilligan

Well I guess that it is about time that we introduce you to our newest family member Gilligan. Gilligan is a dog that is half lab, half border collie. We got Gilligan back in January and have waited to say anything because we wanted to make sure that he was a good fit for everyone. We got Gilligan for two reasons. #1 reason being that our dog Leo is getting older and was depressed. The vet and the groomer both noticed it and suggested that for his well being he needed a friend. #2 reason....Sam. Sam wanted a pet that he could really call his own. All of our other pets we had before we adopted Sam. It has been a great two months with Gilligan and we can really say that he is part of the family. In fact last night was the first night that we let him sleep inside the house with us as he has earned our trust and shouldn't need to sleep in the garage any more. He's only 1 1/2 to 2 years old so he is full of energy which both Leo and Sam need. Here are a few pictures of Sam and Gilligan together. Click on the box below to see the little slideshow.

The plant you showed on an earlier post is a Wisteria vine.

I am in Shreveport, and we have a knitting group that meets every tuesday from 6-8 at the Counter Culture on Mansfield Road. Come join us! There are about 6 regular attendees and probably 6 or 7 more that drop in from time to time. Several of us are experienced knitters, some are beginners. We make lots of socks, hats, blankets, shawls.

Thanks!

Funny you mention a knitting group in Shreveport! I'm the newly appointed Assistant Organizer for the Bossier City Knitting MeetUp Group. In fact we had a meeting scheduled for tomorrow but I don't know if anyone is going to be able to show up due to some other commitments or things coming up. If I can I'll pop in.

We will also be having another meeting on Wednesday morning around 11:00 at the Books-A-Million on Airline Drive if you would like to show up. I will be running a few minutes late but I'll be there. We are a fairly new group with only 8 members and not all of us can ever get together at the same time. Here is our MeetUp link: http://knitting.meetup.com/1061/ if you would like to take a look.

I would love to be able to email you but I don't know how to contact you. You can email me at klmramsrm@yahoo.com if you would like.
