Stop SOPA and PIPA!

From Google:

(please visit the website, click link above, and sign the petition!)

"Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.

Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA. The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late."

What's really sad is that a blog like mine could even be in violation.  My Wordless Wednesday post, for instance, uses a linking tool and linking would be a dangerous activity. If you link to “infringing” content – even unknowingly – you are a FELON.  I'd have to also take away your right to comment on my posts because allowing you to speak your mind on my site puts me at risk.

I don't even want to know what it would do to my sons online Public School!  Or my husband getting his Masters Degree online.

Watch the videos...take a STAND!  I have.

Here are what Wikipedia and Google look like today. Imagine what it would be like...
