$8.95

Yesterday  morning when I got home from work I saw that I had a message on the answering machine.  It was Sam calling from school asking if I could bring up $8.95 so that he could buy some baseball cards.  I knew that it was the last day of the book fair and I had planned on going up there and purchasing a book for him but this was the first I had heard of the baseball cards.  Once I got up there I when to the class where he was and borrowed him to come down to the library so that he could show me the book he was interested in.  Once in there he asked me if I got his message about the $8.95.  I played dumb and acted as though I knew nothing about what he was talking about.  We found the book he wanted and then I sent him back to class.  What he didn't know was that I was planning on purchasing the baseball cards for him anyway.  Just didn't know if I would get them at the book fair or somewhere else.  After talking to some other moms we realized that this would be the better deal.  It was an acrylic box with around 100 baseball cards for $8.95.  At this moment I didn't know if this would be a good purchase or not.  Once Sam got home from school he asked where I had put his book and I told him it was on the kitchen table where he not only found the book but the box of baseball cards.  He spent all afternoon just looking and looking and asking me a ton of question...questions which I could not answer.  Now fast forward to later that evening...Sam was sitting with all of his cards on Andy's lap in Andy's office and they were going through every single card.  Now this was definitely worth every penny of that $8.95 that I spent.  That moment that they had...you can't really put a price on it but I would still spend that $8.95 anytime for them to have that kind of moment.

If you're here from Friday Follow....welcome to my blog.  Don't forget that I have a giveaway that ends tonight...see the following post.

My husband still has his baseball cards from when he was a kid and could probably sit and look at them forever - your $8.95 was definitely worth it!

Thanks for stopping by, I'm following you as well. Have a great weekend! :)

That is so neat! My son is in to the YuGiOh, Pokemon, and Bakugan cards. We've got stacks of them everywhere. And my husband hates them. No beautiful moments there.

:(

Swinging by from SITS! Have a great day!
