Wordless and Wordful Wednesday ~ Kittens

Meet the two newest members of our family.  Isabelle and Spanky.  Sam has been begging us for a kitten of his own for years now.  So this past February before Sam's birthday in March we finally broke down.  He now has two kittens.  This is a current picture of them.  They are not from the same litter but you would think that they were brother and sister.  They do everything together.

Now I have a question for all you photographers out there...is there a way I can take a picture and reduce the noise in my photos when the picture is taken instead of having to reduce it in editing?

Depending on your camera, you may be able to adjust for the lighting conditions you're shooting in.

So stinkin' cute!!! Love that you got some young 'uns in your house!

For pictures - too high of an ISO will create noise. Lower ISO and lots of natural light in front of the subject make the best pictures. My camera does not have any manual settings and I can't take a decent picture indoors unless the blinds are fully open and the sun is streaming in. That's because my camera automatically raises the ISO to adjust for the lack of light - which creates a blurry, noise-filled picture.

My youngest SO wants a kitten of her own! After a houseful, she's getting shortchanged since travel makes it so hard to have them all ... too cute tho!

I didn't read the other comments but if you use the lowest ISO on your camera and have the light illuminating them from the front or a 45 degree angle you will see less noise. Try getting them near a nice big window with some soft light coming through. Look for the light in their eyes and you will do great!

Congrats on the new kitty!

Too cute! Oooh, I just love kittens and cats!

As for your question - I'm glad people before me commented becasue I'm going to try and find the ISO setting on my camera and adjust it. Half my pics come out great and the other half are useless.

Maybe now I know why!

(Don't you just love blogs and comments? You can learn so much...)
